This week marked one of the largest Convention of States events ever at the Iowa State Capitol!
Headlining the event were Senator Rick Santorum, radio host Steve Deace, and Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler. The crowd of hundreds also heard from our legislative sponsors in Iowa, who explained why they're seeking to pass the Convention of States Resolution this year.
Deace was so impressed with the Convention of States patriots who attended, he took time during his show to congratulate the team on the awesome event.
"I want to give a shoutout to our friends at Convention of States. They put on a fantastic event at our statehouse yesterday. It was jam-packed in our capitol rotunda," Deace said.
As Deace explained, the weather was terrible in Iowa this week, and the event happened in the middle of the day, when many volunteers usually have to work.
But that didn't stop Convention of States patriots.
They descended on the capitol to ask their legislators to pass the Convention of States Resolution, and it was one of the best capitol events we've ever had.
