Did You Know?
On August 26, 2021, Governor DeSantis sent a letter to U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas. He asked the Biden Administration to cease unlawful resettlement of illegal aliens in Florida and to provide actual names, numbers, destinations, and other information about this unconstitutional activity to Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
A government news release also reported that Florida sent agents to help with the Texas border crisis. What they found is distressing because our tax dollars will be used to provide food, shelter, healthcare, and education for people who arrived illegally with no COVID screening.
“Further, Florida agents interviewed numerous undocumented migrants and, in those conversations, many of the groups indicated their final destination being Florida’s larger cities such as Kissimmee, Orlando, Miami, Hialeah, and Jacksonville.”
The Convention of States exists to educate a grassroots army willing to defend our Constitution. One thing the federal government is supposed to do is secure our borders. According to Article 4, Section 4 of the U. S. Constitution:
“The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened), against domestic Violence.”
We are clearly being invaded not only at the Texas border but also by airlifts from Afghanistan. Most Americans welcome diversity and recognize the many values that legal immigrants bring to our nation. Our formal immigration process assures that our nation includes people who are willing to share, support, and defend our common bonds.
