Senator, with all due respect, you do not know what you are talking about.
Article V is for proposing amendments to our current Constitution. Nobody is suggesting a rewrite of the document. In fact, read the legislation. Clearly 19 other states have disagreed with him and joined the movement (including Nebraska, Texas, Oklahoma, and North Dakota), Senator John Thune said it was a "good thing", but yet, some how he dismisses South Dakotans for having "rocks in the head" for supporting the effort.
