With the midterm election only days away, the American people are increasingly excited (and anxious) to exercise their democratic rights and elect their representatives to Washington.
But how much sway does the will of We the People really have?
That's a tough question to answer when billionaires like George Soros spend tens of millions of dollars to elect the men and women he believes will support his agenda.
In just the first three quarters of this year, Soros has spend over $20 million in lobbying efforts around the country, more than $4 million more than his previous annual record.
According to the Washington Free Beacon,
Soros spent $2,520,000 during the first quarter of this year, $10,370,000 during the second quarter, and $7,700,000 during the third quarter, disclosure forms show. Soros has now put $20,590,000 toward his lobbying efforts for the year, an amount that is already $4,390,000 more than last year’s record.
Soros is also engaged in an ongoing effort to stop the Convention of States Project. Why? Because he knows that a Convention of States can decentralize power and make it much more difficult for his billions to influence national and international policy.
It's time to put power back in the hands of We the People. For too long our country has been run by big lobbying groups and Washington insiders.
The people and the states must unite to call the first-ever Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and return that power to the states and the people.
