Borrowing money from China to then send directly to Ukraine makes no sense at all.
This ridiculous process makes us weaker, not stronger, Convention of States endorser Sen. Rand Paul admits. The truth is, Congress doesn’t care.
As the national debt grows by the trillions annually, Congress continues to spend irresponsibly. Spending bill after spending bill shovels money out the door and out of the country, and yet no elected officials take action to reduce the government’s appalling spending habits.
Why don’t these spending patterns change? After all, it’s a major concern for the future prosperity of America. Sen. Paul knows why – Because it’s not coming out of their pockets.
“Because it's not their money. Every day, Milton Friedman's statement is proven correct. That nobody spends somebody else's money as wisely as their own. I doubt the big spenders in Congress will ever consider spending any of their own money.”
We’re all much more conscious of our spending when it’s directly affecting our savings. We all must abide by a budget and make responsible financial decisions – even the politicians voting for reckless, pork-barrel spending bills. That’s how fiscal responsibility in the real world works, just not for government bureaucrats.
Paul suggests Americans across the land stand up and take notice. Known for holding government bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci to account, it’s time the people attach blame to these profligate spenders.
Borrowing money from China to send it to Ukraine makes no sense. It makes us weaker, not stronger. But let's be honest, most of Congress doesn't seem to care about the debt or how much money they shovel out the door and out of the country. But Americans across the land should… pic.twitter.com/PzNBIabPuX

The most effective way the people can hold the prolific spenders accountable is to call an Article V convention to add a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution. Almost every state follows a balanced budget, and it’s time the U.S. government does too.
When Sen. Paul endorsed the Convention of States movement in 2018, he stressed that years of abuse and overreach “by the judicial, legislative and executive branches of the federal government have obliterated the enumerated powers established by our founders and made a mockery of the 10th Amendment rights granted to the states and the people.”
With 19 states already on board, now is the time for more states to join in this growing movement. You can help us by adding your name to the COS petition located below.
