Contact Your Legislators: SB 241 and HB 531

Published in Hottest Blog on March 18, 2021 by Madeline Maynor

Convention of States Georgia team member and Legislative Liaison Robert Hein has initiated a call to action for all Georgians!

It is important to recognize our roles as citizens of this great state by staying in contact with our legislators as their constituents, above all else. Not only this, but we cannot ignore the need to safeguard the election process and address the relevant need for reform within our election systems.

Please see Mr. Hein's message below for more information regarding how to contact your legislators regarding SB 241 and HB 531.

"Elections are a sacred cornerstone of our republic. Thankfully, the Georgia legislature is considering two bills that would address many of the issues with our election systems.

The two comprehensive election reform bills have been passed in each house: House Bill 531 and Senate Bill 241. Both bills now await passage in the other chamber, but time is running out in the legislative session!

With only nine legislative days left in session, we need your help in ensuring that these bills get passed! Now more than ever we must safeguard our elections.

Please contact your house members to ask that they support SB 241. You can do that by clicking here.

Also, we ask that you contact your senator to ask that they support HB 531, and you can do that by clicking here.

Both of these bills are important, so please use both links to contact your house member and senator. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you so much for standing alongside COS Georgia as we fight to ensure the integrity of elections moving forward!"

Thank you for making your voices heard and joining us in this effort!
