As President Joe Biden hands down a record number of executive orders and Democratic legislators ram his agenda through Congress, we can't forget that the third branch of the federal government is just as responsible for our country's decline.
Over the last 100 years, the Supreme Court has radically changed the system of governance the Founders put in place. They've reinterpreted the Constitution to give the federal government near-unlimited power, and our country is now effectively ruled by five of nine unelected lawyers in D.C.
As Rick Green explained on a recent appearance on Real America's Voice, we live under the "Court-stitution."
"We don't live under the Constitution in America right now. We live under the Court-stitution. The words on the paper don't mean anything. It's all up to five of the nine justices on the Supreme Court," Rick said. "Five unelected, unaccountable lawyers in Washington, D.C. have the final say. They're making law. They're ruling our country."
Rick is right. The Constitution-as-written has taken a back seat to the Constitution-as-interpreted. What began as a simple document giving the federal government specific, enumerated powers has transformed into a 3000-page tome describing all the ways the federal government has taken over daily life in America.
Only constitutional amendments can overturn bad Supreme Court rulings, and there's only one way for We the People to propose constitutional amendments: an Article V Convention of States.
A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that limit the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government. These amendments can restore the Founders' vision of a limited national government and return that decision-making power to the states and the people.
