Today marks two years since the conservative icon Rush Limbaugh passed away at the age of 70 from lung cancer complications.
While his death was heartbreaking to millions in the conservative movement, his legacy and dedication to America carry on years later.
Rush Limbaugh famously advocated for using Article V on his radio show to fix the problems in the federal government. He discussed Mark Levin's book, The Liberty Amendments, explaining that these amendments are intended to restate what the Constitution is and its original purpose.
"There is impeachment to deal with a lawless president, a lawless executive. But there is another way, and it is right in the Constitution. It's right there in Article V of the Constitution," he said on his radio show in 2014.
The standard politics of today is not going to fix our federal government's current situation, but that doesn't mean we stand hopeless. Limbaugh explained the Founders tool in what he said is a "prescription to fix it."
"There are remedies for this. The remedy is not the Republican party. The American people are going to have to fix this. And that's Levin's book. It's a wonderful book."
He dismissed the fears behind Convention of States opposition groups. This is not a constitutional convention where a new constitution is drafted, he contended, adding that it's state-sponsored.

"The Constitution is going to have to be put back together," he said. "The states have the power if they want to do it."
