The Convention of States' goal of activating a grassroots army of self-governing activists means that we citizens must keep a watchful eye on our state and local governments. One of things that has been uppermost on many patriots' minds has been protecting the integrity of our voting system.
Presently, Louisiana law requires an official picture ID to vote. There are those who say that this law discriminates against some low-income voters, specifically minorities. Why? It supposedly adds a step which minorities would be unable to afford or navigate.
Is this supposition racist? According to N.C. Lt. Gov., Mark Robinson, it is. Watch the video here as he testifies in favor of voter ID laws. Why is this video important to us?
We need to remain vigilant so that our Voter ID law will not be repealed. In the 2021 regular Louisiana legislative session, there were 12 bills addressing voting integrity. None of them attempts to repeal our Voter ID law, and that’s an exceptionally good thing. Why?
We must continue watching lest we forget that “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” This essential law could come under attack at a future date as it has in North Carolina.
