PPP loans exposed – $1.4 billion sent to richest firms in nation, including Hunter Biden’s old firm

Published in Blog on December 06, 2022 by Brianna Kraemer

A new audit of Covid-19 pandemic loans by OpenTheBooks.com exposes just how $1.4 billion in forgiven PPP loans was disbursed to some of the biggest law and accounting firms in the country.

The audit reveals 126 law firms in the Top 300 took $809 million in forgiven Paycheck Protection Program loans, which were intended to help struggling businesses and their employees during the pandemic lockdowns. Among the Top 300 accounting firms, 236 received $635 million in forgiven PPP loans.

Combined, the wealthiest firms in both professions garnered over $1.4 billion in forgiven loans all at the expense of the taxpayer.

The deeper dive, however, reveals a much more corrupt deal.

The law firm Boies Schiller Flexner took the most funds, with just over $10 million in forgiven loans from the government.

The firm Boies happens to be where Hunter Biden previously worked. Like that’s not enough, Boies employees and partners donated nearly $1 million to Democratic candidates in 2020 and 2022, reports the New York Post

These are astonishing divulgences into government corruption, yet again connecting back to boatloads of money.

As put by OpenTheBooks, "Congress bailed out large, white shoe, professional firms with billions of taxpayer dollars during the pandemic. Yet, the vast majority of these firms had no demonstrated financial hardship."

We knew from the start of Covid-19 that the government’s money distribution was full of loopholes, but did we ever think it would be funneled to benefit Democrat candidates in future elections?

This begs the question, is the same thing happening with the billions currently being sent to Ukraine? It’s not an extreme question to ask, seeing money laundering happening right here in America by those who are “experts” on the law.

We are in dire need of legitimate oversight on the federal government. It seems to only be a one-way street when it comes to oversight.

Government has oversight over our income, our finances, our purchases, and so on. It's time we take some of that power back, something Convention of States Action is in the process of handling.

Help us handle this power abuse, sign the petition in support of a Convention of States below!

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
