People like Barbara Zimmerman will rise with the same spirit and faith that was the secret sauce of the Founding Fathers. It is they that will bring the ultimate success of the movement.
After demonstrating her excellence as a Convention of States Florida District Captain, Barbara Zimmerman was recently awarded the Patriot Pin at a team meeting by Regional Captain Frank Collige.
Before Convention of States, Barbara spent a lifetime honing her leadership skills, holding various executive positions in communication and media, where she refined her analysis skills serving at senior levels in two major corporate holding companies and two well-regarded management consulting firms.
State Director Richard Simo described her in glowing terms as having “created a grassroots army" and discussed her successful Police Support Rally held in July 2020, which she organized to serve as a counter to the Defund Police Movement. That rally led to her award at the 2020 State Strategy Meeting, and it was well-deserved.
Prior to that, she had been a teacher and professor of Literature. Desiring to “give back,” she developed what would become key programs in helping children, in helping employees, and in the advancement of not-for-profit entities, such as Convention of States.
In returning to Jacksonville in 2014, she became a self-described “activist and supporter of traditional American values.” She continued to support “faith based and educational related freedom," but it was the books of Mark Levin and Texas Governor Greg Abbott that led her to Convention of States.
Some organizations have superstars, while most never see them. The Convention of States Project is a bastion of American superstars. Here we refer to them as patriots. It is these amazing individuals that set Convention of States apart from the pack.
While failure may be an accident, success seldom is. It is the diligence of a lifetime that we hereby celebrate in the success of Barbara Zimmerman as an effectual Convention of States leader.
