New study shows why overreaching COVID mandates are useless

Published in Blog on January 05, 2021 by Shawn Fleetwood

One of the main arguments made by politicians and public health "experts" who favor lockdowns and government mandates is that you could still unknowingly pass the coronavirus to others, even if you don't show symptoms.

However, a newly released study of almost 10 million people in Wuhan, China, finds that asymptomatic spread of the virus is insignificant.

Published in Nature Communications, the extensive paper found that of the nearly 10 million people, only 300 asymptomatic cases were detected.

A total of 1,174 close contacts of the asymptomatic positive cases were traced, wherein zero of the contacts had contracted the virus.

Furthermore, both the asymptomatic patients and their contacts were placed in isolation for two weeks. Following isolation, "None of the detected positive cases or their close contacts became symptomatic" or were "newly confirmed with COVID-19."

A similar study regarding asymptomatic spread of COVID-19 was conducted earlier this year by the University of Florida, Gainesville Department of Biostatistics, which found extremely low rates of asymptomatic spread.

The analysis finds that symptomatic individuals transmitted the virus at a rate 28 times higher than that of asymptomatic individuals.

Even a top World Health Organization (WHO) official acknowledged the insignificance of asymptomatic spread during a public forum back in June.

"From the data we have, it still seems to be rare that an asymptomatic person actually transmits onward to a secondary individual," Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, head of WHO’s emerging diseases and zoonosis unit, said at a news briefing from the United Nations agency’s Geneva headquarters. "It’s very rare."

Then, like any other time a major scientific revelation reveals the truth about coronavirus, the WHO suddenly retracted its statement following outcry from the media.

These studies clearly demonstrate that symptomatic individuals are the ones driving the coronavirus pandemic, not asymptomatics.

In turn, this also shows that the lockdown measures and mandates forced upon Americans by government officials are completely meaningless in the grand scheme of the pandemic.

Never before in our nation's history have we ever quarantined the healthy for any illness.

As is the case with other respiratory viruses, asymptomatic spread has never been the primary driver of this pandemic or any others.

Yet, when it comes to COVID-19, politicians and public health "experts" can't seem to offer any scientific justification for their overreaching policies that dictate when we can leave our homes or what we wear on our face.

Rather than having sick individuals quarantine and letting healthy people live their lives normally, government officials refuse to admit their policy failures (ex. mask mandates).

Instead, they double down while placing the blame for these failures at the feet of the American people.

Whether it's a Democratic state like Virginia or a Republican state like Ohio, tyrants in power are all too eager to dictate every aspect of our lives.

This might leave some of you wondering: if voting for a certain political party isn't the answer, then what's the cure for this tyranny?

The answer couldn't be more clear: calling a Convention of States

Calling an Article V convention will provide the American people with an avenue to take back our freedom and return us to an era of self-governance.

It's time that We the People finally put our government officials in check by limiting their power and influence in our lives.

It's time we eradicate the virus of tyranny once and for all and restore our liberty, so that we can live a life filled with freedom and prosperity.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
