Who do you trust to make decisions for yourself and your family? You or bureaucrats in Washington?
For many Americans, the answer to that question has become crystal clear over the last year. As the COVID-19 pandemic raged, federal health officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci were wrong time and time again. They gave bad, outdated advice, and they lied to protect their agencies and careers.
Those lies are catching up to them, according to a new poll from Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group.
- 64% of Americans say parents must decide whether vaccination should be required for children to attend school
- By contrast, only 15% say the federal government should make these decisions.
“Voters are watching the unravelling of Dr. Anthony Fauci, most notably amidst mounting evidence that COVID-19 was leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China. Further, Fauci’s potential connection to funding research at the lab in question is creating a cloud of doubt over our entire federal health establishment,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “Thus, when federal, state, and even local officials insist that parents must get children vaccinated in order to attend school, Americans—regardless of political party—just aren’t buying what they’re selling.”
When it comes any to a specific issue, Americans speak with one voice: We the People should make our own decisions. Unfortunately, federal bureaucrats are experts at obfuscation. They try to hide the fact that they're taking our decision-making power from us, and many Americans have signed on to their plan to expand the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government.
We must act NOW before it's too late. The American people want federal power to be reduced, and a Convention of States can do exactly that.
Article V of the Constitution allows the people and the states to call a Convention of States to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can return all decision-making power to the states and the people by stripping Washington of its power, limiting its spending, and mandating term limits for federal officials.
Over five million Americans have joined the movement, and 15 states are on board. If we want to make sure bureaucrats like Dr. Fauci never have the chance to control our decisions again, we must call a Convention of States.
