The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee of the NE Legislature heard testimony on Nebraska Resolution, LR14, removing the Sunset Clause, on February 26.  We expect a vote soon.

1. LR14 -- Resolution to rescind a prior resolution and apply to Congress for a convention of the states to propose amendments to the United States Constitution
2. LB259 -- Adopt the Faithful Delegate to Federal Article V Convention Act

We anticipate a floor vote after a successful vote from committee. We need your help!

Contact committee members HERE, asking them to support  LR 14.

**************

Senator Loren Lippincott, District 34, introduced LR14 on January 15, 2025.

NE legislature passed the Convention of States resolution in 2022 with a sunset clause, an expiration date.

LR 14 is the resolution to remove that sunset clause. It calls for an Article V convention to propose amendments that address term limits, fiscal restraints, and federal overreach. A floor vote is coming soon, and we need as many Nebraskans as possible to fill the gallery in support of LR 14
