Like many Americans, George Caron is worried about the future of his country. He's deeply concerned about tyranny, and he wants to make sure he's doing everything he can to ensure a better future for his children and grandchildren.
But unlike too many Americans, he's decided to stand up and do something about it.
George serves as a Regional Captain for Convention of States Iowa, and he rose at a recent capitol rally to deliver a heartfelt message about why he joined the Convention of States movement.
"As veterans, many of us have seen the tragedy of tyranny. We understand why Convention of States is a solution to keep our self-governing nation. Our veterans, brothers and sisters, served and some died to keep America a land of liberty," he explained.
"I came to realize that unless I stand up now and work on a solution to keep us free from tyranny, my children and grandchildren would one day ask me, dad what did you do? And I would have to say, sorry, I was too busy, too fearful to speak out, and just thought someone else would do it," he continued. "Like many of you, God has shaken me to my core and awakened me. I want to be able to face my God, my children... and my fellow veterans, and say, I gave all I could. I fought the good fight."
