An Article V Convention of States isn't about any particular policy. It isn't about the Republican or Democratic agenda. It's about giving the people -- not Washington -- the power to decide those policies for themselves.
Massachusetts State Director Michael Arnold had precisely this message when he spoke in front of the Joint Committee on Veterans and Federal Affairs last month.
"I've traveled all over Massachusetts, and it is very clear that the vast majority of citizens agree on the concepts in this resolution," he said. "Yes, even in this divisive environment the vast majority can agree on the need for a balanced budget, term limits, and returning the power to the states."
