Despite what you may have heard from the mainstream media, President Joe Biden's first press conference did not go well.
As Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler explains in his latest BattleCry! episode, the president's behavior shows signs of serious decline.
"What was that?" Mark asked. "We're watching the president of the United States slipping into dementia. This isn't normal. It's not cool, it's sad, it's scary, and the mainstream media is covering it up."
Obviously, the president's behavior is concerning.
"This should make us nervous. This is the guy that holds the nuclear codes, this is the guy that is supposed to be leading the country, setting the tone, setting the agenda, and he's clearly not in his right mind," Mark said.
Biden holds the keys to the awesome power of the federal government. Washington, D.C., has expanded its power into every area of American life, and now the man wielding that power appears to be slipping into dementia.
We should never elect a president who is incapable of doing that job. But we can mitigate the damage of bad or incompetent presidents, and we can do it without the White House's approval.
An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can limit federal power to the narrowly tailored set of topics expressly mentioned in the Constitution. That way, even if the president is failing, he will not have the power to control the wide range of issues he can currently influence.
The ever-expanding power of Washington, D.C., is at the bottom of so many of our country's problems. If we can limit that power, we can restore the decision-making authority of We the People and get back to living our lives without worrying about the political games in Washington or the health of the president.
