Meckler: The federal government would become a "banana republic" following Hillary Clinton's advice

Published in Blog on August 28, 2020 by Article V Patriot

Former senator and failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton didn't mince words in her advice to Joe Biden earlier this week.

"Joe Biden should not concede [the election] under any circumstances because I think this is going to drag out, and eventually I do believe he will win if we don't give an inch and if we are as focused and relentless as the other side is," Clinton said.

In other words, even if President Trump wins, Joe Biden should refuse to acknowledge the will of We the People.

American patriots should be offended by Clinton's elitist, and Mark Meckler called her remarks what they are: tyranny.

"What Hillary Clinton said is one of the most dangerous things I've heard a national-level politician say," Mark said on a recent appearance on NewsMax. "She is advising, a la a dictatorship or banana republic, that the losing candidate not concede no matter what."

This isn't the first time Hillary Clinton has spoken out against the will of We the People.

In 2017, she fear-mongered about a fringe, "right-wing" conspiracy to call an Article V Convention of States. She claimed, for example, that the patriots working towards a Convention of States want to limit First Amendment rights and restrict the rights of accused criminals.

Mark responded to these accusations in a powerful appearance on Fox and Friends.

Clinton was right in one regard: the Convention of States Project is working directly against those in D.C. who are seeking to maintain the status quo. Politicians like Clinton want to be able to determine the results of the upcoming election and don't care at all what average Americans think.

A Convention of States would put those Americans back in the driver's seat. A Convention is called and controlled by the states under Article V. It can propose constitutional amendments that strip power from the federal government and return that power where it belongs: with the states and the people.

Over four million Americans have voiced support for the Article V movement and 15 states are on board. To join the cause and stand up to elitist politicians, sign the petition below!

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
