Why do we keep giving these people more power?
President Joe Biden's disastrous handling of the Afghan crisis has demonstrated once again that we can't trust our federal officials. We can't trust them to protect our interests, we can't trust them to save American citizens, and now, we can't even trust them to have some respect in the presence of dead American soldiers.
Biden was "overseeing" the dignified transfer of the servicemen killed in Kabul last week, and during the ceremony, the commander in chief checked his watch. As he said during a recent press conference on Afghanistan, he probably had another meeting to get to.
Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler commented on Biden's disgusting performance, and he didn't hold back.
"That's how disrespectful he was. That's how much he doesn't give a damn about these men who gave their lives. He doesn't seem to give a damn about any of this stuff," Mark said.
"It's on them that these American servicemen are dead. It's on them that Americans are getting left behind. It's on them that... 100,000 Afghans who helped us are going to be left behind and likely to be slaughtered by the Taliban."
Our federal "leaders" don't care about us. They don't care about the everyday Americans who have to abide by their tyrannical laws and policies, and they don't care about the men and women who die as the direct result of their politically motivated decisions.
Joe Biden pulled out of Afghanistan to score political points. When it backfired, he doubled-down, and he still hasn't expressed remorse or regret for his actions.
We need new leadership, but we need more than that. We need to rebalance the power between the federal government, the states, and the people, and we can do just that with an Article V Convention of States.
A Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can strip power from corrupt politicians like Joe Biden, impose fiscal restraints on Congress, and limit the terms of office for career politicians and deep state officials.
We must stop giving more power to "leaders" who don't care about us, our country, or the Constitution. Instead, we must limit their power and put it back where it belongs--with the states and the people.
