Breaking: Maryland Senate Hearing Makes an Impact - Learn More!
A Message from Mike Rilee, State Director - District 19
February has been a momentous month for self-governing patriots in Maryland! For the first time since 2018, the Maryland Senate heard COSA-MD testimony in support of the Convention of States resolution. Over 65 supporters from all over the state came to Annapolis to show their support, filling the commmittee hearing room and overflowing into the hall. Over 400 viewed the session online. Many spent hours on the road just getting to Annapolis and then spent hours more waiting for the committee to hear our testimony.
Thank you Maryland supporters for letting your legislators know how important the Constitution and your country are to you! And congratulations to the COSA-MD team for all of the time and effort you put into making our day at the Senate a success!
We'll soon be testifying to the House of Delegates, so stay tuned and contact your legislators with a polite, personal message of support!
The COSA Maryland team is growing and trying to serve the cause of self-governance more effectively all of the time. We are planning to set up regular meetings in Districts all across the state.
Regional Captain for Western Maryland Leslie Jenkins will become our new State Grassroots Coordinator to help us organize, train, and support our volunteers. Leslie has been phenomenally active organizing and building relationships in western Maryland. A true servant leader, we are quite excited that she will be helping grow our team statewide.
District 2 Captain Rick Bibbee, also known as "Uncle Sam" from his flamboyant dress style seen at many COSA-MD events, will be picking up the reins in Western Maryland as Regional Captain for Western Maryland. Rick's energetic and engaging leadership style has led to excellent growth and fellowship. His support has been valuable across the state, and we're looking forward to Rick's mentoring and growing more leaders in Western Maryland.
For more information about how you can help reclaim your own self-governance, check out our Take Action page. The short Volunteer Application will get you started!

How to be a COSA TelePatriot
All COSA supporters can (and should) be running the COSAction App on their mobile devices. To be a TelePatriot you will need to be running the COSAction App on your phone. You will also need to be a volunteer activist within your COSA state team. Next, let your state team leadership know you would like to be a TelePatriot.

WE ARE OATH KEEPERS!
We took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic!
Why a Coalition of Veterans? We fought for our country. We were maimed and died for our country. We are suffering PTSD, and other war time diseases. Government is ruining our country and once again we are called to take action to get it back.
I am soliciting your help. Please ask locally if there is any organization (VFW, Elks, American Legion, DAV, etc.) that would like me to speak to them about COSA. I would also welcome your help if you wanted to join me.
Don’t forget to look for my March VCD Newsletter, coming to your mailbox in about two weeks. If you didn’t get February’s VCD newsletter, contact me and I will send it to you.
Also, if you are a subscriber to the mdcos Slack channel, sign up for #veterans, a chat room for us veterans and active duty. If you don’t know how, please contact myself or your District Captain.
Lastly, I would like to remind you that if you receive an email from me, feel free to send it to your friends unless I say that it cannot be shared. We have a duty to do this. We are oath keepers.

Spotlight on Team Maryland: Meet Jim McQueen, Regional Captain from Southern Maryland District
The COS SoMd Region consists of three counties, Calvert, Charles, St Mary's, and is currently the three Districts 27, 28, and 29. The SoMD team supported a COS booth at four significant events, the Prince Fredrick Fire Department Hunters Bash, the Calvert County Fair, St Mary's Oyster Festival, and the SoMD Freedom Rally.
2021 has seen our most significant growth of 1378 petition signers, almost doubling to a total of over 3,152 signers, and we have grown to 35 volunteers.
We started a monthly meeting at J2Defense in Prince Fredrick MD on the 2nd Tuesday of the month.
We keep an eye on local issues, and we support local activities, attending rallies and county meetings, such as the Board of Education. We have conducted local US & Maryland Constitution training, and we have five leaders on the COS Maryland State team.
Things are happening in Southern Maryland, and there is a great deal more to do as we rebuild self-governance in our country! Contact SoMD Regional Captain Jim McQueen for more information.
