Our republic has lost its way. As one Convention of States volunteer explained to a Massachusetts committee, politicians promise the world but always fail to give the people what they really need: freedom.
"For over forty years, I've been paying attention to the campaigns, platforms, and promises of our national politicians. I've found it amazing that the promises are the same in campaign after campaign without the issues being solved and the promises not kept," he said.
He goes on to explain that the deepest problem in D.C. is that We the People don't control our own lives. He calls on the legislature to bring the power back to the states and reassert the people's control over the federal government.
