What a great day for liberty!
After Wisconsin's historic vote to become the 16th state to call for a Convention of States, COS Action President Mark Meckler called in to The Mark Levin Show to tell Levin all about it.
The question on everyone's mind is, what's next?
Levin asked Mark which states are looking likely to pass soon, and Mark had an answer.
The South Dakota House passed the Convention of States Resolution on the same day as the full Wisconsin legislature, and Nebraska's unicameral legislature is just one vote away from becoming number 17.
"We expect our third vote by the end of the week in Nebraska. That would make Nebraska number 17, and we'd cross the halfway mark," Mark said.
South Carolina is also close to passing, and Mark is seeing a huge amount of momentum behind the Convention of States movement.
"This is moving all over the country right now. The momentum is just extraordinary," he said.
Levin was one of the founders of the Article V movement when he published his book, The Liberty Amendments, which called for a Convention of States for 10 specific amendments. He's been an invaluable ally in the fight, and he's officially endorsed the Convention of States Project.
He told Mark he believes this is the only "institutional solution" to federal tyranny.
"If not now, when? The Founders talked about this as the process for avoiding violence. This is very, very important. And it's very doable," he said.
