The confidence of the American people in Dr. Anthony Fauci has plummeted in recent months, according to a new poll from Convention of States Action and the Trafalgar Group.
And that trend isn't limited to Republicans or Democrats. Confidence has dropped among Americans from all parties.
- 42.2% of all voters say confidence in Dr. Fauci has decreased
- 66.1% of Republicans say confidence in Dr. Fauci has decreased
- 41.7% of Independents say confidence in Dr. Fauci has decreased
- 20% of Democrats say confidence in Dr. Fauci has decreased
Fox News host Sean Hannity reviewed our results in a segment of his show last week, and he called for Fauci to step down from his position.
"I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt," Hannity said. "But he's not only been wrong, now we see, and this is an important poll that just came out. According to this new Trafalgar Poll commissioned by the Convention of States, 42 percent of Americans have lost confidence in Fauci over the past year."
"I don't think he should be in this position. He loves politics too much. He's too active in politics, and he loves being on TV, and he's not in the trenches, and he's missing the science, and he's putting on a show by his own admission at times," Hannity concluded.
This isn't just about Dr. Fauci. The confidence of the American people in the federal government as a whole is slipping as well.
A paltry 26.4% of voters say they're relying on the CDC/federal government to tell them when the pandemic is over. Over 25% say the pandemic is already over (contrary to what the CDC says), and 11.1% say they never took COVID seriously in the first place.
Is it any wonder our confidence in government has plummeted? Our federal leaders have shown themselves to be irresponsible, dishonest, and more interested in scoring political points than protecting the American people. They've given us contradictory, anti-science advice on vaccines and masking, and they've winked and nodded at violent rioters ruining major American cities.
It's time for We the People to stop looking to the federal government to save us. We must take our country's future into our own hands, and we can do it with a Convention of States.
An Article V Convention of States is called and controlled by the states and has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can restore decision-making power to We the People by limiting federal power and spending, and mandating term limits for federal officials.
With this complete package of amendments in place, Washington, D.C., will only be allowed to control a small, narrow set of topics -- and will be forced to leave the rest to states and local communities.
Over five million Americans have voiced their support, and 15 of the necessary 34 states have called for a Convention of States. Sign the petition below to join the movement!
