Florida patriots are not “woke”, they are awake!

Published in Blog on November 26, 2022 by Gabriel Fontana

We certainly don’t need Big Bird to teach us how to count. Even after a category 4 (almost 5) hurricane hit the west coast of Florida on September 28th, this state still managed to complete its voting count on election day. That’s saying something considering many southwest precincts were closed due to the hurricane aftermath.

Florida patriots are not “woke”, they are awake!

Florida votes no to critical race theory in our schools.
Florida votes no to open borders.
Florida votes no to abortion after 15 weeks.
Florida votes no to mandatory vaccines.
Florida votes no to transgender operations for our children.
Florida votes no to woke corporations.
Florida votes no to biological males competing in women sports.

Republicans enjoyed a significant boost due to the migration of voters from other states.  The daily influx of over 800 new Floridians, many from the northeast and registering Republican 9 to 1 over Democrat, was a timely gift. Although the Democrats suffered a significant loss in Florida, Republicans better heed their marching orders or their reign could be short term.

Florida voted for common-sense government and the Republicans better not squander the people’s trust provided to them.

Patriots are not loyal to any single party. They are loyal to America, to freedom, to the constitution, and common-sense government. The kind of government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people.

Let us never forget!

Convention of States is definitely nonpartisan and believes that a two party system serves as a hedge against tyranny. Political parties did not exist in George Washington's reign. They evolved to help facilitate elections not to take over the entire process or usurp the will of the people.

COS supports using Article V of the U.S. Constitution to establish term limits, restrained fiscal spending, and less federal interference in state governing.

COS volunteers work with local elected officials to ensure the will of the people is a priority. We need your help to educate citizens about this legal, non-violent solution. Sign up today.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
