Our federal government is so concerned with the consequences of free speech in today’s world that they have issued a National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin highlighting the dangers of speech that opposes the government.
Never mind the First Amendment and what used to be called personal judgement. Now, you can just trust our 100% honest and sincere politicians to give us just the facts… At least, that’s what they expect of their base.
The advisory states that there is a “heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM).”
MDM? Apparently that’s the latest term the Biden administration is attempting to normalize. However, what makes these people think us Americans want to know what they consider MDM?
For many of us, critical thinking is still a process used when breaking down information, but for the first time, our government wants that process to be shifted into their hands, making it so easy to control the narrative and weed out any inconvenient truths.
The alleged threats “seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions.”
This begs the question, why is the government so insistent on the people trusting our institutions? In the last two years, our leaders have proven to be defective in working for the American people. If anything, we have all opened our eyes to the many dysfunctions of Washington in the recent years.
Now is the time to continue questioning and doing independent research, not putting more faith in failed institutions.
The government has not ceased its power grab, but with a Convention of States, the people can put an end to overreach at the federal level. Article V allows the states to call a convention, and luckily our Founding Fathers added this to the Constitution.
A Convention of States has the power to propose constitutional amendments that permanently and effectively limit federal power and put agencies like the DHS back in its place.
