There's an app in the Constitution to get rid of career politicians.
But not the kind of app you're thinking of. Under Article V, the state legislatures can make an application -- or pass a "resolution" -- to call a Convention of States to propose constitutional amendments.
As Mark Meckler and Rick Green explain in the video below, one of those amendments could be to limit the terms of office for members of Congress.
"We can have an influence on the structure of the federal government. People in leadership positions in Congress have been there forever," Mark said. "If we want to, we could impose term limits."
Thirty-four states must pass applications for a Convention before one can be called. Right now, 15 states have passed those applications. If 19 more pass the same applications, a Convention will be called and the states can meet to propose constitutional amendments.
Make sure your state is one of those 34! Sign the petition below, and we'll send it to your state legislators to let them know that you support the Founders' solution to limiting the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government.
