Our federal government is no longer accountable to the people it is supposed to represent.
This radical assault on liberty is not going unnoticed. All across America, like-minded citizens are beginning to wake up to the menace.
They see our children being indoctrinated with radical ideas and having their futures mortgaged by unimaginably reckless spending.
We urgently need to restore the guiding principles of the Constitutional Republic that our Founding Fathers created for us.
That means a limited federal government with a strong system of checks and balances.
Luckily, our Founders anticipated the abuses that mere mortals could concoct, and they gave us a powerful solution in Article V of the Constitution.
If you believe --- as do a majority of our citizens --- that our country is on the wrong track, then it is time to act.
And it's time our state legislators take action.
Despite heeding the call to action from their constituents, the recent 2023 Virginia General Assembly chose fear by leaving the COS resolutions in committee.
Now what?
This is election year in Virginia for every state delegate and senator. Many of the current legislators are stepping down, choosing not to run in this election cycle.
Thus many newcomers are stepping up to the bat, choosing to run for the first time.
Whether the slate of candidates in your district are old timers or new, it is time to prepare for the 2024 legislative session by learning their viewpoint on limited government, and share with them how Convention of States is the solution as big as the problem in Washington, D.C.
Check this link to see where your candidates stand on COS.
If you do not see your candidates at the previous link, then find them at events in your area to talk to them (and the audience) about Convention of States. Then ask him/her to answer the survey. (Directions are detailed at the previous link.)
The hope is that we will gain legislators who will in effect 'raise their hands' to bravely push the COS resolution for Virginia over the finish line in 2024.
