Florida was the third state to pass the COSA Convention of States resolution and is working in concert with other states to pass this same resolution which would put an end to federal overreach, force accountability in federal spending, and add term limits for federal offices to the Constitution.
We can be proud of our state as an arbiter of restoring sanity back to government on both state and federal levels.
Most recently, I would like to think the hard work of COS leaders in Florida and other states have fueled the desire for Wisconsin volunteers to influence their elected servants to adopt this resolution.
The Badger State of Wisconsin, like badgers themselves, are showing the appropriate aggression it takes for the needed changes to occur in our federal government.
"Forward! Ever Forward!" is the motto and battle cry of Wisconsin Patriots. This type of resolve will hopefully bolster other remaining states to follow their example and insist upon limiting federal overreach, restoring federal fiscal responsibility, and imposing term limits on career politicians.
Slowly we turn, inch by inch, and state by state....
By example, Florida is taking the spirit of Thomas Jefferson's quote in a literal form: "What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms."
The arms taken up are not the conventional weaponry of military might, but the collective energies of organizing, educating, activating, and adjusting to the tactics of those who work to reduce individual liberties, and States' rights.
We are reaching the summit of our uphill climb. We can be encouraged but must remain resolute, reminding ourselves that until the Convention is called, there is still much work to be done.
Hurray for the COSA! Hurray for the dedicated volunteers in every state still building engaged armies to reach, teach, and activate others in the call to noble action!
Our ambitions must remain indefatigable to counteract those confederations whose purpose is to reduce our liberties while it gorges itself on personal wealth and power!
