Ok, maybe you will.
According to the latest Gallup poll, a full 19 percent of Americans say "government" is the nation's biggest problem. That's followed closely by "immigration" (16%) and "unifying the country" (8%).
"The government has commonly been cited in recent years as the most important problem facing the country, with the problem having received or been tied for the most mentions - 22 times in the last 24 months," Gallup notes.
"The current 19% who say it is the most important problem is well below the all-time high of 33% who cited the issue in October 2013, during a partial shutdown of the Federal government, but is in line with the 22% average who have noted the government this year."
If the federal government is a perennial problem, why hasn't it been fixed?
The answer is simple: the feds don't want to change the status quo in D.C., and they believe nothing can force them to change.
They like the special treatment, the money, the perks, and most of all -- the power. Our executives, congressmen, bureaucrats, and judges don't want things to change, so unless We the People force their hand, they never will.
That's why millions of Americans have joined the Article V Convention of States movement.
A Convention of States can fix D.C. without D.C.'s approval. It can propose constitutional amendments that limit the power of the federal government and return that power to the states and the people.
These amendments can shrink the federal bureaucracy, mandate responsible spending, impose term limits, and stop judges from legislating from the bench.
Enough is enough. The federal government has had their chance. Now it's time for the people to step in.
