Tomorrow, the United States of America turns 247 years old.
The Declaration of Independence, signed on July 4, 1776, set the stage for the world's greatest and longest-running experiment in self-governance ever conceived by the minds of men.
For 150 years before the revolution that spirit lived and grew in the hearts of every American and the "Spirit of 76" took hold.
Our forebears knew oppression and persecution firsthand, so were able to envision the freedom and self-governance they had been denied. And when the English Parliament threatened that spirit, freedom-loving Americans drew a line and fought back.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness…
That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…

Our spirit has been tested time and time again throughout our history, and each time, the citizens rise to the occasion and defend liberty and freedom wherever it is threatened!
As the federal government unconstitutionally usurps power enumerated to the states without any accountability, it becomes our duty to protect the liberty we cherish!
