In the age of stay-at-home orders, online activism is the name of the game, and the Convention of States Project is up for the challenge.
We recently reached a new milestone -- 2 million people now like Convention of States on Facebook!
This news comes as the Convention of States Project has seen massive online growth during the last three months. We recently saw our petition reach 1.6 million signatures, and about 1,200 new people are signing the petition every day.
What's more, our social media accounts see four times the engagement levels of other political nonprofits like the Heritage Foundation, the ACLU, and the ACLJ.
This means that while those other groups might have more "followers," Convention of States patriots are far more engaged. They like, share, and discuss Convention of States content at an astronomical rate, as you can see in the chart below.
Engagement ratio is the ratio of page likes to weekly engagements. In other words, the percentage of our followers who engage with us each week.
That social media engagement has translated into more visitors to the COS Action website: our website traffic has increased 863% since this time last year as Americans learn more about the Founders' solution to federal tyranny.
All of this has meant a huge growth in our grassroots volunteers and supporters. Across all platforms, we've seen a total of 4.5 million people voice their support for the Article V movement. We've also seen thousands of new volunteers and dozens of new leaders over the last few months.
Clearly, the Article V message is resonating. As America becomes increasingly divided along party lines, Americans are looking for a solution that removes power from the circus in Washington and returns power to states and local communities.
The Convention of States Project seeks to do exactly that, and we're seeing more and more Americans look to the Constitution to pursue liberty and self-governance.
