Convention of States Ohio Holding Massive Lobby Day on May 26!

This is your opportunity to let your voice be heard by your Ohio state legislators!

Please join liberty-loving Americans with Convention of States Ohio at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus on May 26 for a Convention of States Lobby Day rally. The Lobby Day will begin at 10:00 AM in the Atrium, which is a connector room between the Statehouse and Senate Building.

Lobby Day will kick off the introduction of the Convention of States Resolution in the Ohio Legislature, and this is a fantastic opportunity to show the legislators that you support the Article V option to rein in the power, scope, and jurisdiction of the federal government.



Mark Meckler, the President of Convention of States, will be one of the guest speakers. Mark will outline why the Ohio state legislature should consider passing our Resolution and how the states can take their power back from an overreaching federal government.   

You'll also have the opportunity to meet with your legislators later in the day. Click here to find your representatives and senator.

When you meet with your legislators, please be positive and upbeat but not high pressure. Let's do our part to leave our legislators with a very positive impression of Convention of States supporters.

Please also consider wearing patriotic or Convention of States clothing so our representatives know what we represent. You can purchase Convention of States gear at the COS Store.

Note: Be sure to allocate about 30 minutes to find parking and walk to the state capitol before the rally begins at 10:00 AM

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention.
