Convention of States South Carolina is on the precipice of success after a hard-fought seven-year journey. In 2013, the first resolution was filed in the South Carolina House by Aiken Representative Bill Taylor and in the Senate by Senator Larry Grooms. Since that time, the grassroots movement has grown to over 46,000 citizen petition signers.
In September 2021 alone, 2,235 patriots joined the cause, and the day after mandates were announced by the White House, 670+ South Carolinians had had enough. They realized they no longer had tolerance for autocratic mandates and recognized the need for personal liberty and freedom of choice.
The goal of Convention of States is to return governance back to We The People, rejecting autocratic rule. South Carolinians elect their representatives to govern state business. State governments are more attentive to the needs of its citizens. The federal government functions to maintain bureaucracies, and bureaucracy is in direct conflict with, and impedes self-governance.
So now, it is up to the S.C. Senate. The S.C. House passed the Convention of States Resolution in May 2021. This Republic is headed toward socialism, but it can be corrected by a Convention of States.
The strength of the Convention of States movement in South Carolina is here to stay. Volunteers worked relentlessly the past seven years to get this far and will continue until success is reached.
CALL TO ACTION. What can you do? Call your S.C. Senator and encourage him/her to sponsor the Convention of States Resolution and vote to pass it in early 2022 without delay.
