Brian Higgins understands what many Americans do not: that the Constitution today looks nothing like what the Framers drafted in 1787.
Over the years, the Supreme Court has re-written our founding document according to their opinions and whims, and the result has been a flood of corruption and abuse.
"The Commerce Clause has been effectively re-written out of the Constitution," Higgins explained before a Wisconsin legislative committee. "The General Welfare Clause has also been re-written from what the Founders gave us by decisions such as the 1936 U.S. v. Butler."
"In short, we've drifted away from the structure the Framers enshrined in the Constitution."
