Biden’s southern border now the most deadly land crossing in world, UN study finds

Published in Blog on July 07, 2022 by Brianna Kraemer

With a historic total of 728 reported deaths along the southern border in 2021, a recent United Nations’ study has revealed the U.S and Mexico border is now the deadliest land crossing in the world.

If you’re wondering how this could be, look no further than the frauds in the White House who have not just allowed immigrants to cross, but encouraged them to illegally cross the southern border to enter the United States.

In 2021, there were an estimated 1,238 immigrant deaths in the Americas, meaning the vast majority of these deaths came from the southern border. The International Organization for Migration (IOM), an UN agency, conducted the study and said the findings should be considered an undercount due to difficulties in obtaining the data.

Disappearances and deaths among illegal migrants are likely due to riskier decisions made when traveling to their destination and hazardous routes, as seen recently in the smuggling incident near the southern border that left 53 dead in a tractor trailer.

Meanwhile, U.S Customs and Border Patrol is reporting a record-high number of apprehensions. Border patrol agents from Brownsville, Texas, to San Diego apprehended 232,628 illegal border crossers in May—the highest monthly total in 23 years, according to data obtained by The Epoch Times

The most backwards part is that it’s a more difficult process for legal Americans citizens to get back into the U.S. from Mexico than it is for illegals to enter the U.S. by foot.

Up until just about a month ago, American travelers in Mexico were required to pay for a Covid-19 test less than 48 hours before air travel. With the requirement recently lifted, Americans heading home must still show a passport at multiple checkpoints throughout the airport, go through security not just in Mexico but also upon arrival to America, stop at customs, and pay customs fees within the price of an airplane ticket.

Biden’s preferential treatment of illegals may be enticing to immigrants looking for a better life, but it’s really causing substantial harm for everyone – the immigrants, the border patrol agents and Americans.

While it doesn’t seem to be directly harming Biden, it’s harming his reputation and the outlook of his disastrous administration.

The one thing we see yet again is that our federal government doesn’t care about Americans, and apparently they disregard the safety of immigrants too. Using Article V of the Constitution, the states can convene to address these issues created by our own federal government.

A Convention of States can take power away from the federal government and give it back to the states and the people, where it always belonged.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
