Biden DOJ Smears Moms For Liberty Like KKK

Published in Blog on May 29, 2024 by Jakob Fay

According to secret emails obtained by The Daily Wire, the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) targeted Moms For Liberty, a conservative-leaning school curriculum group that opposes LGBTQ+ advocacy in the classroom, “in the same manner it tracked the Ku Klux Klan.”

Internal communications reveal that the DOJ’s Community Relations Service, tasked with investigating hate crimes, published a list of controversial words to monitor. This roster included contentious symbols and expressions such as KKK, noose, the n-word, Full Haus (a white supremacist group), swastika, and white supremacy. Amazingly, the organization Moms For Liberty found itself lumped together with these terms associated with hate.

“We reject the notion that advocating for parental rights and the well-being of children is an act of hate and we call on the Department of Justice to clarify its position on this matter,” blazoned Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice. “The actions of the federal government should never infringe upon the rights of parents to engage in the democratic process.”

She blasted the action as “a new low for the Department of Justice,” which is already plagued by accusations of politicization and weaponization.

“[T]his is what happens when you build a massive and powerful intelligence gathering agency with prosecutorial discretion,” noted one writer. “It's fine when it is focused [on] actual threats to the country, but it can just as easily be turned on anyone, and they have basically no oversight because we wanted them to have the power to quickly go after terrorists. We were warned this would happen, and nobody believed it.”

Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident but part of a disturbing pattern where parental involvement in school matters has been treated with suspicion and hostility by federal authorities. Such actions erode trust in government and threaten the fundamental rights of citizens to engage in civic discourse without fear of reprisal or unjust targeting. We now know that the government views moms who speak out to influence their kid’s education and upbringing as no different from the KKK or Nazis, and the DOJ’s efforts against them are nothing short of tyrannical.

To safeguard against further abuses of power, there is a growing call to limit the size and scope of the federal government. If you share these concerns, add your name to the Convention of States petition below to advocate for necessary reforms and uphold the principles of limited government.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
