"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yield, and government to gain ground." - Thomas Jefferson
What does the aristocracy of ancient Rome and the modern world have in common?
Answer: The litters they ride upon are carried on the backs of the everyday citizen.
The elitists love their pageantry and displays of altruism among the masses. The latest display occurred this weekend in Rome, Italy. Can you see the metaphor here?
Apparently, an 85-car limousine motorcade winding through the streets of Rome carrying our President this weekend doesn't count in accounting for carbon emissions that were to be discussed in Sunday's COP26 UN Climate Change Conference.
Biden's climate envoy, John Kerry, has already put 138 metric tons of carbon in the air by use of his private jet. Emissions calculator and flight data indicate that he alone has emitted 30x the amount of carbon emitted by a typical passenger vehicle per year!
This data has been measured only from January 10th to August 6th, not accounting for September or October.
The jeweled poles of the aristocracy's litter we carry come in the form of regulations and restrictions that our elected servants thumb their noses at. "This for the betterment of mankind," they say. "Rules for thee, but not for me"! is the actuality.
Americans and the world at large soon need to realize that the elitists virtue signaling is being used to subjugate the masses through the guise of cleaner energy and vaccine mandates.
If these high-minded servants of the common people are concerned with climate change, as they claim, then why not use Skype, video calls, or Zoom? After all, much of America's business is done this way by the everyday citizen!
Thomas Jefferson stated, "I have not observed men's honesty to increase with their riches."
Indeed, it is our taxation to fund electric cars that increase their riches!
I ask the question, "Why are China and India not held to any accountability in this concern for climate change? They are the two largest countries creating the most carbon emissions!"
In any disagreement, agreements can be reached, but they must be based on the principles of honesty, integrity, and accountability. Our Forefathers proved this trying to form a country while fighting the British.
The wisdom distilled from disagreement came in the form of Article V of the US Constitution. Convention of States gives us the power to make new amendments for addressing term limits, responsible fiscal spending, and the overreach of our federal government.
As patriotic Americans, we would do well in adapting the same attitude as Samuel Adams during the struggle for independence:
"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen"!
Desire is the ingredient needed for achieving monumental undertaking. Do you desire a free America for your children, and their children's children?
Convention of States calls on you to activate your desire in restoring the principle's of honesty, integrity, and accountability back into government, and eliminate the lustful grip of aristocracy. Only term limits can accomplish this!
We must remember, "We are not the servants, but the master"!
