The federal government will engage in virtually any kind of corruption or deceit to expand the size and scope of their power--including running an extensive, covert campaign to misrepresent the president's positions to the American people.
The Daily Wire uncovered a little-discussed comment made by a Democratic operative in the White House. The quote was buried in an article published by New York Magazine, but it speaks volumes about the deception at the heart of this administration.
The operative gave his opinion on the White House's ability to control the narrative by controlling the media. He spoke specifically about the use of the word "crisis":
But sometimes dumb tactics yield desired outcomes. In March, the Associated Press distributed a memo advising reporters to “avoid” or “use caution” when using the word crisis. “One very real possibility is this strategy works,” the [person close to the White House] added. “They may get criticism in think pieces about it, but at his hundred-day mark, Biden is the most liberal president we’ve had — and the public thinks he’s a moderate. That’s a winning strategy to me. They’re willing to accept that you’re gonna write this piece as long as they know that swing voters in Colorado aren’t gonna read it.”
Did you catch that? The White House knows President Biden is a radical, but they've launched an intentional campaign to trick the American people into believing he's a moderate.
Liberty-loving Americans have known this for some time, of course. The president talks a big game about being a moderate, but his policies are transforming our country into a socialist state.
Unfortunately, many Americans aren't engaged enough to realize this deception, as the White House advisor noted. They've been able to fool those Americans who aren't involved in politics, and the result will be a country that's less free, less prosperous, and less powerful.
We have a duty to inform our friends and neighbors about big-government overreach and deception--and give them a solution.
That solution lies in Article V of the Constitution. Article V allows the people and the states to call a Convention of States for the purpose of proposing constitutional amendments. These amendments can limit federal power and jurisdiction, and prohibit the kind of big-government socialist policies being pushed by this administration.
Amendments could be written, for example, that bar Washington from spending money on any topic not expressly mentioned in the Constitution. Such an amendment would get the feds out of healthcare, energy, the environment, and a host of other issues. Without this jurisdiction, the federal government will never be able to implement Biden's socialist policies, and our children and grandchildren will be free to enjoy the same liberties we do.
