Do you have confidence that the federal government can solve our nation's most serious problems?
Will they fix the economy or lower the national debt?
Will they solve the crisis at the southern border?
Will they empower We the People to make our own decisions and control the laws under which we live?
Will they end the plague of career politicians and impose term limits on themselves?
We all know the answers to these questions, and that's a big reason why we've lost confidence in our leaders in Washington. As South Carolina Rep. Bill Taylor explained at a recent committee hearing, poll after poll demonstrates that Americans no longer have confidence in their "leaders."
"Washington is broken, completely dysfunctional. You only have to look at this morning's news or yesterday's news or tomorrow's news to know that it's out of whack completely," he said. "Americans have lost confidence in their government. It can be fixed, but only you have the power to do it."
Fortunately, there is a solution. As Rep. Taylor goes on to explain, the states can re-balance power between the federal and state governments and put We the People back in the driver's seat of our country's future.
An Article V Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that address each of the ways we've lost confidence in Washington. These amendments can limit federal power, impose term limits on career politicians, and mandate fiscally responsible policies in Congress.
With this complete package of amendments in place, We the People will no longer have to worry about national authoritarianism from the president or the courts and can get back to solving problems closer to home.
