America Divided: CNN anchor calls "white men" country's "biggest terrorist threat"

Published in Blog on October 30, 2018 by Article V Patriot

Do you think America is divided?

If you only get your news from the mainstream media, you would think that the American fabric is falling apart, but is it?

CNN anchor Don Lemon was discussing this week the recent killing of two black men at a Kentucky supermarket. At one point during his comments, he called "white men" the "biggest terror threat in this country."

The best part?

In the same sentence, he called on his viewers to "stop demonizing people."

Check it out.

With comments like these in our national news media, true unity seems impossible. But CNN isn't telling the whole story.

All across the country, in every single state, men and women are coming together around one simple idea: self-governance.

They're fighting for an Article V Convention of States, a meeting of state delegations that has the power to propose constitutional amendments. These amendments can limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government and return decision-making authority to We the People.

The message is spreading, and it's crossing party lines.

According to recent polling in 11 states, over 60 percent of the American people support such a convention. What's more, 75 percent of Republicans support such a measure and 56 percent of Democrats.

The Convention of States movement is truly non-partisan. If you believe you're more capable than the federal government of making decisions for your family and your community, then this is the cause for you.

Petition your state legislator

Almost everyone knows that our federal government is on a dangerous course. The unsustainable debt combined with crushing regulations on states and businesses is a recipe for disaster.

What is less known is that the Founders gave state legislatures the power to act as a final check on abuses of power by Washington, DC. Article V of the U.S. Constitution authorizes the state legislatures to call a convention to proposing needed amendments to the Constitution. This process does not require the consent of the federal government in Washington DC.

I support Convention of States; a national movement to call a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress.

I want our state to be one of the necessary 34 states to pass a resolution calling for this kind of an Article V convention. You can find a copy of the model resolution and the Article V Pocket Guide (which explains the process and answers many questions) here: https://conventionofstates.com/handbook_pdf

I ask that you support Convention of States and consider becoming a co-sponsor. Please respond to my request by informing the national COS team of your position, or sending them any questions you may have:
