2025 Senate Hearing Info Center

Published in Surge Article Volunteer Resources Blog on February 23, 2025 by Maria Moungelis Bedard

The Convention of States Action Maryland Team will be in Annapolis on Wednesday, February 26 for the Senate Hearing.

We encourage all COS Action Maryland supporters to attend the hearing in Annapolis. It's THE OPPORTUNITY to experience the legislative process first hand (think sausage making 😉) There's no better way to meet fellow COS supporters, engage with legislators in person and make a difference in the outcomes of issues you care about.

What: Senate Bill #0886 will be heard by the Education, Energy & Environment Committee

Where:  West Miller Senate Building, Room 2, Annapolis

When: Wednesday, February 26 beginning at 1pm

Here is all the information you need for getting there and getting around right here:

The weather on Wednesday in Annapolis is predicted to be 40 degrees with 0% chance of showers. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Wear clothing with the COS logo if you have it. Otherwise, respectful/business casual or better (and comfortable shoes) is recommended for visiting our legislators' offices.

GETTING AROUND

Parking in Annapolis can be a challenge, so please do some advance scouting. You can find parking and shuttle information at these links:

Navy-Marine Corps Stadium Parking, 550 Taylor Avenue. Perhaps the best choice. $10/day for car/single-spaced vehicles. The stadium is served by the State Shuttle ($2 each way)
(see route map) and operates 6:30am to 8pm (every 20 minutes).

Annapolis Parking Garages & Lots

Annapolis Free Shuttle (note: Stadium parking lot is not on this Shuttle route)
