2022 Rally at MN Capitol
Minnesotans rally at the State Capitol for Convention of States

Welcome to Convention of States Minnesota

We are a grassroots army of 37,000+ patriots in Minnesota dedicated to preserving our faith, our families, our lands, and our freedom. Our mission is to build a strong, engaged army of self-governing, grassroots activists.

We're working to have Minnesota join 19 other states in calling a convention under Article V of the United States Constitution, restricted to proposing amendments that will impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and impose term limits on its officials and members of Congress. Sign the petition and join us!

A succinct 2-minute overview of COS:

A more in-depth explanation:

As part of a nationwide campaign, we are asking you to write personal letters to both of your Minnesota legislators* (MN House and MN Senate).

How it works: Handwritten letters are effective and have a big impact with legislators. Time and again other COS state teams have had legislators agree to support our resolution as the result of letters received from constituents.

In the time it takes to write a heartfelt letter, you will be helping us advance our efforts here in Minnesota. Many supporters claim they want to do something in the small amount of time they have. This is that something.

What to write: 1. Be kind and respectful. 2. Address your concerns and why you are asking for their support. 3. Speak from the heart. 4. Thank them for their service. 5. Clearly sign and print your name. 6. Include your address. It's proof you are a constituent.

Items of concern: entrenched politicians, unelected bureaucrats, out-of-control spending, legislating from the bench, two-tier justice, border security, lack of representation in D.C. Use any that concern you.

*To find the state legislators representing your district, either use this map-based Who Represents Me? tool or go to the MN Legislature home page and type in your address.

Physicians for COS

The diagnosis is clear.

We have a growing cancer today known as the Obamacare. As a result physicians are no longer free to practice medicine.

No profession feels the full force of the federal government more than physicians. The medical profession is the most highly regulated profession in the United States. The practice of medicine is controlled, taxed, and regulated to the point of being destroyed by the heavy hand of the federal government.

Physicians are told how to bill, how much to charge, and how to treat patients. They are mandated to use expensive electronic medical records. The federally enacted HIPPA (Health Information Privacy and Portability Act) makes the communication between physicians and atients burdensome, inefficient, and expensive. Every physician is required by federal mandate to register with the government to obtain an NPI (national provider identifier.) We are required by federal law to obtain and pay for a license to prescribe medication through the DEA, which is separate from our state licensure.

This heavy hand of government not only oversees the largest federal health bureaucracy ever created, but by extension reaches into every state, every city, and every small town to regulate how every licensed physician practices the art of medicine and how citizens obtain care.

The treatment is also clear.

The prescription for a cure was written into our constitution by our founders. Article V of our constitution allows for the states to call for a convention of states to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government through the proposal of constitutional amendments. Physicians should be the strongest supporters of this brilliantly-crafted states’ rights tool placed into our constitution by our founders.

I urge my fellow American physicians to join with me in supporting an Article V Convention of States to take back control of the practice of medicine. It’s the only way that we can return the practice of medicine back to the intimate relationship between a doctor and patient without interference by the heavy hand of a distant, national government.
