Yvette Herrell Endorses Convention of States
Washington, D.C., May 2, 2024 – Convention of States Action is pleased to announce former Congresswoman Yvette Herrell has formally endorsed the Convention of States organization. This endorsement reaffirms the powerful support behind the Article V solution as a means to effectively address the overreaching federal government.
Herrell, a Republican, previously served New Mexico’s 51st district in the state legislature from 2011 to 2019 and then the 2nd congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2021 to 2023. She brings a wealth of experience and qualifications to the table.
In her official Convention of States endorsement, Herrell stated: “The federal government has grown far beyond its original design: spending too much, regulating too much, and taking more and more power away from the states. I fully support the Convention of States and an Article V Convention - focused on imposing fiscal restraint, reducing federal control, and enacting term limits as the best path forward to limit the federal government and return power back to the American people.”
Herrell’s endorsement not only strengthens the Convention of States' cause but also propels it forward with renewed momentum as grassroots supporters of COS continue to educate and engage citizens across the nation.
