HOW TO BECOME A PRECINCT CHAIR IN ROCKWALL
Precinct Chairs are the seed out of which the grassroots of a Political Party grow. They are volunteers from every walk of life that make up the strong foundation upon which Political Party structures are built. They help get candidates elected by working at the precinct level to get their neighbors out to vote. Together, they compose the County Executive Committee which is the primary structure of our County Party organization. If you don't like political parties, get involved and make a change. There are only 2 roads to Austin...Republican and Democrat...Independent is not a choice.
Step 1: Register to vote
Step 2: Contact to your affiliated party chair of your choice via email along with any questions you may have:
- Rockwall County Republican Party: repcountychair@gmail.com
- Rockwall County Democrat Party: rockwalldemocrats@gmail.com
Step 3: Complete the application to be added to the Primary Ballot. Filing date begins Tuesday Sept 12th, 2023. If the Precinct seat is empty, filing can begin anytime.
Step 4: Send the completed application to your County Chair, County Party Secretary as well as the Rockwall County Election Administrator (Main thing is you can prove that you submitted a completed application to your county chair).
