THE PEACH STATE PATRIOT

A SEMI-MONTHLY EMAIL NEWSLETTER

JANUARY 15, 2022 VOLUME 2 - ISSUE 2

Convention of States (COS) has built the largest Grassroots Organization in the country to “limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.” There are over 3,000,000 petition signers nationwide and nearly 68,000 signers, just like you, in the state of Georgia.

We continue to build even larger and stronger groups in our local areas to directly combat the loss of our civil liberties, fundamental rights, and freedoms. Education Reforms (e.g.CRT), Election Reforms (e.g. mail-in balloting), and Law Enforcement Reforms (e.g. police budget and bail reductions), are just a few examples of the local challenges facing us. We must get even more people involved in our school boards and local precincts to protect the rights of our citizens to govern themselves, before it is too late.

2022 is a turning point year in the United States of America. Our Republic and Freedoms are under attack in every aspect of our lives. Religion, Work, Education, Finances, Health Care, Speech, Voting,… the list goes on. Last year was the worst in our country's history.

The mid-term elections are only 10 months away. We must make every minute of this time count.

There are 20 states that are in partial completion to approve the Article V Convention of States. This is the year for us to make it happen.

YOU - Congratulations! You have already taken the first step and signed the COS Petition. Now it's time to turn it up a notch and get involved as a volunteer. Your local district, county, state and country need you more that ever. We all need to play a part, however large or small, in salvaging our democracy.

All US citizens regardless of race, religion, sex, and political party are entitled to their rights and freedoms. Become involved in Convention of States to more effectively oppose government overreach and abuses. Every effort big or small makes a difference.

NOW - This is the year. This is the time. Regardless of your skills or interests, regardless of the amount of time you can spend, there's an opportunity for you.

RIGHT HERE - Take the next step. Join our family of volunteers. Help make this a better place to live for ourselves, our children, grandchildren and future generations to come.

It's go time.

How do you want history to remember this year?

How Many Rights Would This Bill Have Violated?

New York State recently attempted to legislate bill A416. A416 would allow anyone suspected of being a threat to the public health, because of infectious disease, to be removed and detained (page 1, lines 10-16). Wording for release of detention is confusing, conflicting, and can be interpreted to continue for months (page 3, lines 38-47). Wording in A416 (page 4, line 23) also included mandatory approved prescribed treatment, medication, and vaccination for the people detained. Read the entire A416 bill here.

With A416, anyone can be detained on scant evidence. This is a slippery slope for citizens as A416 can be interpreted broadly and loosely by the government. Remember, Australia forced Covid negative, asymptomatic citizens who were simply exposed to Covid to remain in Covid camps to quarantine for two weeks. A416 sets a dangerous precedent for other states and future law.

Persons who monitored the status of A416 found it moving forward in the legislative process and sounded the alarm. The people of NY fought back by voicing their opposition on the New York Senate website. In late December 2021, NYS Assemblyman Nick Perry was forced to permanently remove A416, the bill he initially introduced. Read his response on Twitter.

Bill A416 has now been stricken.

Although distant from us here in Georgia, we can learn from the actions of determined citizens fighting to preserve their rights and freedoms. Keep watch of your government activities at all levels, speak up, push back, and contact your legislators. It works.

Physicians for COS

The diagnosis is clear.

We have a growing cancer today known as the Obamacare. As a result physicians are no longer free to practice medicine.

No profession feels the full force of the federal government more than physicians. The medical profession is the most highly regulated profession in the United States. The practice of medicine is controlled, taxed, and regulated to the point of being destroyed by the heavy hand of the federal government.

Physicians are told how to bill, how much to charge, and how to treat patients. They are mandated to use expensive electronic medical records. The federally enacted HIPPA (Health Information Privacy and Portability Act) makes the communication between physicians and atients burdensome, inefficient, and expensive. Every physician is required by federal mandate to register with the government to obtain an NPI (national provider identifier.) We are required by federal law to obtain and pay for a license to prescribe medication through the DEA, which is separate from our state licensure.

This heavy hand of government not only oversees the largest federal health bureaucracy ever created, but by extension reaches into every state, every city, and every small town to regulate how every licensed physician practices the art of medicine and how citizens obtain care.

The treatment is also clear.

The prescription for a cure was written into our constitution by our founders. Article V of our constitution allows for the states to call for a convention of states to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government through the proposal of constitutional amendments. Physicians should be the strongest supporters of this brilliantly-crafted states’ rights tool placed into our constitution by our founders.

I urge my fellow American physicians to join with me in supporting an Article V Convention of States to take back control of the practice of medicine. It’s the only way that we can return the practice of medicine back to the intimate relationship between a doctor and patient without interference by the heavy hand of a distant, national government.
