The COS mission in West Virginia took another step on Tuesday, October 11, when District Captain Norm Launi, along with volunteer activist Dan Fabbri, held a meeting at the Petersburg, WV American Legion to start another COS team in that area.
There were eight attendees, and while few in number, all expressed their concerns for our country, and all wanted to work to stop where we are heading. Launi explained that we are Citizens for Self-Governance and our #1 goal to have an Article V Convention of States held as soon as possible. They were told we had other goals of wanting 10 million petition signers and Citizens for Self-Governance teams in every WV legislative district with 100 members in every team.
During the meeting the origins of our mission was explained and Fabbri explained in detail how a Convention of States is conducted. Launi & Fabbri also told the group what their existing team in Keyser has been doing as far as setting up information and petition gathering booths at various local events and what that team did in helping to get West Virginia onto the passed states list. Available volunteer and leader positions were reviewed and Launi will be emailing all info on resources and how to sign up to become active. He stressed a good start would be for all to become Telepatriots.
It was pointed out that the most important thing we need to do is find the real Citizens out there, get them to step up, join us and fight to return America to what our founding fathers meant it to be.
The meeting ended with all promising they would bring others to the next meeting. Date and time for this will be announced shortly.
