September 24, 2022 was a big day for the West Virginia Convention of States team. Volunteers from around the state met in the picturesque town of Marlinton, WV to join in the fun at the Pocahontas County Autumn Harvest Festival and the West Virginia Roadkill Cookoff. Roadkill Cookoff? The event features vendors who offer samples of wild game dishes like deer chili, wild boar, bear stew, squirrel, and rabbit.
The crew stayed busy all day talking with hundreds of folks. Scores of petitions were signed at the event and many more looked us up online. This was a great way to share the Convention of States message with hundreds of new people, many from as far away as Alaska, Michigan, Florida, and New York.
West Virginia passed the COS resolution earlier this year but it’s as important now as ever to keep the petitions coming in and to bring in new volunteers.
We have the momentum. Let’s keep it going, click here to learn more, sign the petition and volunteer.
