The weather was cold on February 5, but the fellowship was warm at the COS winter social in Bear. State Grassroots Coordinator Ginny Watkins opened her home to Team Delaware and their spouses for an evening event that involved food and games.
The group included downstaters as well as folks from north Wilmington, and long-term COS leaders along with brand new volunteers. For this meeting we decided to forego nametags and play an ice-breaker that helped us learn names and connect with details about each others' lives.
Ginny prepared a delicious, filling soup and others contributed bread, salad, desserts, and other goodies. After dinner, some folks played games and others just indulged in conversation. And of course, we always take the opportunity for a team photo!
Along with the knowledge that we are doing our part to "keep the Republic," another of the benefits of being a part of the COS team is the encouragement of connecting with like-minded patriots. I hope you'll check out the Take Action page, volunteer for COS, and join us at our next event!
