It's time for America to take the Vth: Article V

Published in Blog on April 18, 2018 by Tracy Schuster

Take a moment to ask yourself these questions: What does America stand for? Does DC stand for those same principles? Are we in danger of losing what America stands for?

A long-lasting solution.

Article V provides us with a solid, long-lasting solution, more so than any other proposal being discussed. We are concerned about the dangerous tyrannical path that D.C. is heading on if not redirected towards our founding principles.

America stands for freedom for all citizens. She serves as a beacon of light and sets an excellent example for people of all nations, that people should not submit to oppressive rule. For liberty to endure, our principles of separation of powers and fiscal responsibility must be upheld and restored.

Convention of States looks at the bigger picture.

The Convention of States movement wisely looks at the bigger picture of upholding our founding principles, where those solely addressing one federal law at a time do not. Nullification is a theory some deem as a valid recourse, yet it cannot realistically address the many egregious abuses occurring at the federal level or uphold our founding principles of a limited government.

For example, how does one nullify the national debt? How does one nullify excessive taxation and spending? What about the entitlement programs that are bankrupting our country? Furthermore, how can one nullify the duties that the federal fovernment is failing to do, like enforcing our immigration laws and securing our borders?

Article V is the only solution big enough to save our country.

The only solution big enough to save our country is in the United States uniting around Article V. We might be 50 individual sovereign states, but we are also America.

Our children, grandchildren, friends, and family live in some of the other states. If we seek only to protect Montana, what are we accomplishing in upholding liberty for the rest of the country?

It's time to join America's liberty-preserving movement.
