The Article V Convention of States movement seeks to permanently restrain the scope, power, size, and jurisdiction of our federal government and restore proper governance to the states and to the people. It's the only recourse the states have for holding the federal government accountable.
If, in my lifetime, we do not propose amendments to the US Constitution that accomplish those objectives, who knows what could happen?
We could see the crushing interest payments on the national debt dwarf all other national expenses, bankrupting the US economy and creating a stock market crash worse than the1929 crash.
It might take a wheelbarrow load of cash to purchase a loaf of bread to feed your starving family. Our generation may witness our own starving children or grandchildren with bloated stomachs begging for bread on the street corner. We could see 25% or higher unemployment, while no one has the resources available to start a new business that could provide for our families.
We could find ourselves in re-education centers or in prison for daring to vote against an incumbent, speaking against a federal policy, voicing support for Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency or President Trump or even Kamala Harris. Disagreeing with a supreme court opinion or disagreeing with a media narrative could land you in federal prison or hard time at Fort Leavenworth.
Should state legislators not support SJR-3 or HJR-2, you would be dooming this nation and future generations to destitution, misery, and unrecoverable sorrow. Now is the time; you are our voice.
Bring power and jurisdiction back to the states and to the people and govern with authority from the people.
Please pass our COS resolution before it is too late!
